Second segment of the antennae inserted rather asymmetrically on the first segment [Abb. 1]. A single species in the Western Mediterranean; further species in North Africa.

Pronotum with a deeply indented furrow each side towards the base which connects the basal border with the furrow running along the side; the base between these furrows is not bordered [Abb. 2]. Upper surface with a blue sheen; antennae and legs red. Elytra with complete, deeply incised striae. Disc of the pronotum smooth, with punctures towards the base. 5-6 mm. Aedeagus [Abb. 3].
